#TinyHouseNation Seeks Those Planning to Build

FYI’S NEW HIT SHOW, TINY HOUSE NATION, SEEKS PEOPLE WHO ARE BUILDING OR PLANNING TO BUILD A TINY HOUSE

Tiny House Nation,” the hit new show currently airing on FYI (an A+E-owned network), is seeking tiny house-obsessed people who are building or planning to build a tiny house of their own between July – October 2014. Participants will be paired with an expert team of builders and designers who specialize in one-of-a-kind and fully functional design features that maximize small spaces. Each design will also suit the unique needs of each client while significantly increasing the value of the property.

Starting immediately, we are seeking people who are building or planning to build any type of tiny houses and will be transitioning into the tiny house lifestyle for the first time (house types include cabins, cottages, mobile homes, floating homes, container conversion homes, vacation homes, etc.). We are especially interested in anyone who has made progress in any of these departments: blueprints, foundations, zoning, building permits, completed well/septic systems and/or electrical wiring.  *** Please note, all applicants should have an allotted, available budget and should be planning their build/move-in within the next several months (July – October 2014).

Interested individuals, couples and families should be located in the US and have specific ideas and plans in place as it relates to their purchase and/or build of their home. For inquiries or to apply, email the following information to casting@loudtelevision.com: name, location, renovation budget, information on who lives with you, why you want to live in a tiny home, and what you would like your space to look like. Additionally, please include photos of who lives in your home as well as contact information.

Produced by Loud Television, “Tiny House Nation”  features renovation experts, John Weisbarth and Zack Giffin, as they travel across America to profile ingenious, small spaces and the inventive people who live in them, as well as help new families design and construct their own mini-dream home in a space no larger than 500 square feet. From an urban micro-apartment to a caboose car-turned-home to a micro-sized house on wheels for road tripping, this series celebrates the exploding movement of tiny homes. From the pricey to the budget-friendly, “Tiny House Nation” is not a typical design show, but one that proves size doesn’t always matter – it’s creativity that counts.

  1. It’s wonderful that you are doing this show. I hope it helps us change zoning ordinances and CC&Rs so that we can find land. It’s great for the country dwellers, but still really difficult for city and suburbs.

  2. I just love what John and Zach do on Tiny homes on wheels, and how Zach can always find ways to find usable space. I would love to have them help with building my tiny house 195-200 sq.ft. on wheels to tour the U.S. national parks in my 1st year of retiring from 27 yrs.at the hospital and to travel for 3 months and then do a travel R.N. nurse assingment for 3 months to have money to travel another three months and then work for 3 months ,etc. for the 1st 1 1/2 years. Then go home and build a 450-500 sq. foot home on 2 acres of land. Want to use my tiny trailer home to be a B&B to help finace my tiny farm ranch with organic veg.,fruits orchard and tiny flock of chicks and tiny goats for cheese.. I then would love to have John and Zach to help with the The tiny house build, I know Zach can find lots of unused space. I athought my ting travel trailer would be a good honeymoon trailer. We have been married for 44 yrs. and we are still like newlweds on a daily bases, (we never had one). (I thought a year of traveling would be a good honeymoon. ) We are selling our 2300 sq. ft. home; we are getting to old to maintain and pay out all that money on insurance and maintaince and need a very tiny home. I want my tingy travel trailer and Ting House to be off the grid totally. Tell John and Zach I have started downsizing alot, already; just waiting for them to come and help with my tiny house trailer about 195-200 sq. ft. build and then the tiny house build later of about 450-500 sq.ft. tiny house, off the grid 100%. 1. Hi Judy and Rich, Many apologizes for only just now seeing your comment almost a year later. I’m not sure if the producers read posts on our website. You will probably want to contact them directly.

  3. I think you guys are awesome in meeting the, challenging needs of the, homebuilders, but I wonder if you’ve ever thought of building a tiny home, for a wheelchair bound person. I am in a power wheelchair now due to a muscle disease. There are places I can’t get to in my home now and wondered if it was possible to create a space where a person disabled could still have, room to get around while accessing everything inside and outside the, home. My husband an I would love to have,a tiny home but it’s not financially possible even if the house was possible, but it w b great if somebody who could build one was able to work with / you. There’s an idea for you. If anybody could make it happen you guys can love the show. 😀

  4. Hello, I’am extremely interested in having John and Zack custom build a tiny mobile home for me, but would like to know if it has to be on television. Do they only build for the program? Also, are there specific banks that will finance a tiny home?
Thank you very much for your time. I’am very excited about the possibility of maybe…just maybe, owning my own home!!!

  5. Hi! My name is Renee Moya. My Husband and I live in the San Francisco area but own 3 acres of property in Belen NM. We would like to build our getaway retreat home and eventually it would be our retirement home. I had a particularly challenging year with Breast Cancer and would like to have a place my Husband and I can call our own to come to and heal mentally and physically periodically. We want to build a holistic spa feeling one room escape that we would eventually retire full time to and call home. It would have to have an earthy healing spa feeling. A room/home with everything. Earth elements, wood, stone, fireplace., stucco, all around deck? One big room on a platform with a wheelchair ramp in case Cancer comes back. We have $40,000 to $50,000 to spend. We would like to plan a design with one of your amazing designers. Please please consider us for one of your Tiny House builds.
    Thank you for your consideration.
    Sincerely,
    Renee Moya

  6. I just purchase a 30 room building in Hilo Hawaii. The rooms are 100 to 200 square feet. The rooms are supposedly apartments that’s what the realor told me. I need help in making these rooms into functional living quarters

  7. I am an obsessed watcher of Tiny House Nation! I love the unique ideas zack is always coming up with, I watch it EVERY week faithfully! I wish I had the money to do this but maybe one day, until then keep up the amazing work guys!

  8. Channel FYI 115/874 is leaving and going to Digital Preferred. So anyone who is a fan of Tiny House Nation won’t be watching it after Nov. 29th 2016 courtesy of Comcast. Could this program get picked up by another Home Improvement Channel like DIY or HG/TV? I would very much appreciate it and this is not fair to Basic Cable customers

  9. I live in Chiang Mai Thailand and want to build a tiny house now and need a place to park my tiny house… [The rest of this message has been removed for privacy of the author.]
